Hydrogen Technician

Element has an opportunity for a Hydrogen Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. As a member of the operations team, you will be evaluating the performance of materials in a range of environmental conditions, often designed to replicate service.

The successful applicant will be required to perform routine and non-routine testing assignments, with support and training provided, but rapidly progressing to working with minimal supervision.



  • Undertake hydrogen environmental testing under supervision of senior members of staff
  • Be expected to obtain guidance in non-routine testing
  • Be confident working in a laboratory environment
  • Working knowledge of H&S and Quality requirements for lab environments
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Suite package
  • A willingness to expand knowledge and work well in a team with requirements for individual working
  • Assist with data and report preparation

Skills / Qualifications

  • Science Graduate or higher qualification
  • 2 years relevant experience
  • Physical fitness and ability to withstand the challenging working conditions
  • Strong and determined quality focus with indefatigable determination to get the job done under the most challenging conditions
  • Self-motivated team playing with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to embrace new skills and apply them in a practical context is considered prerequisite
