Element has an opportunity for Regional Instrumentation Engineer within Element Cambridge whose primary responsibility is to serve as a regional, installation, servicing & maintenance of sophisticated analytical instruments. 

This is a field based role covering North East England with ideal location York, Middlesbrough, Hull or surrounding areas. Our role within Element Cambridge is to bring the World's best analytical technologies to laboratories in the UK and Ireland.

• Troubleshooting, installation and repair of designated equipment
• Completing Preventative Maintenance and field modifications
• Ordering and managing repair parts for field repairs
• Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner. Follow GV SOP
• Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up
• Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated
• Utilising the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues
• Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contacts, new contracts, contract renewals and instrument sales
• Collaborate with other departments within Anatune and Element to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within the UK and Ireland
• Ensure all communications with customers are reported internally

• Significant experience of working with GC-MS, LC-MS in an analytical laboratory
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience of analytical method development.
• Experience of working with SIFT-MS (desirable)
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
• Excellent decision-making, troubleshooting, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
• BSc / BA in Chemistry, Engineering or relevant field
• High level of computer skills including: OEM Software, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
