  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a JR Procurement Specialist working directly with business stakeholders and other team members develop & execute sourcing strategies that deliver continuous cost, performance and process improvement.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute sourcing projects to include; strategy development, preparation of RFP’s, supplier negotiations, business case recommendations, project management and contract execution
    • Strong analytical skills, with advanced usage of Excel, and familiar with E Sourcing tools
    • Working collaboratively with business stakeholders and team members design and implement a productivity project pipeline process to identify cost and process improvements within the direct materials category 
    • Manage and measure supplier performance against contract, manage supplier performance issues, one off and systemic
    • Perform industry benchmarking and total cost of ownership analysis to identify continuous cost & process improvements

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Business or equivalent experience

    • Professional Qualifications CPSM, CIPS, 6Sigma preferred
    • 2-3 years of sourcing experience with a large industrial manufacturing company

    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and proportions
    • Proficient with ERP / ORACLE solutions
    • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint (pivot tables and v look ups) 
    • Results orientated, excellent analytical, process and problem solving skills
    • Team player with initiative and a positive attitude
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
