Warringtonfire, part of Element, has an opportunity for a number of Graduate Engineers to join our business on a perrnanent contract. The initial 2 years will be spent on our Graduate scheme starting in September based at our Warrington site. This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the fastest growing organisations within the Testing, Inspection & Certification sector.

 

Responsibilities

Who Are We Looking For?

 

Do you have a desire to begin a career in the fire safety industry within the following areas;

 

  • Building materials
  • Materials science
  • Product installation
  • Engineering
  • Construction
  • Product certification
  • Fire-related product development

Over the course of two years within the programme you will gain valuable experience and understanding of the different functions of the business, plus build the foundations for a career in the Testing, Inspection & Certification industry

 

Limited travel between our UK and / or European businesses will be required throughout the programme, and for willing candidates there may also be the potential opportunity to benefit from spending time on a longer placement in one of our other locations in the UK or further afield

Skills / Qualifications

Candidates should have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Educated to degree standard, in a science or engineering subject
  • Analytical & inquisitive in nature and strong problem-solving skills
  • Technically focused
  • Keen interest in all aspects of fire safety
  • Methodical and highly organised: capable of meeting deadlines
  • Able to prioritise and reach decisions quickly and effectively
  • Able to make informed decisions and confidence to stand by / justify these decisions
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills and strong attention to detail
  • Presentation skills
  • Ideally a Full UK Driving Licence
