Overview

Element has an opportunity for a PQT test Engineer to join our team in Seville, Spain.

The PQT department performs all types of non-standard testing: structural testing, product qualification and environmental testing for a wide variety of sectors and customers. 

 

The PQT test Engineer role provides technical and engineering leadership, and is accountable for the accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-off of quality control data as acceptable. Oversees standard and/or routine technical problem solving activities. Interacts with customers on technical issues and questions. Provides input and support on business development opportunities with new and existing customers.

 

 

Responsibilities

• Ensures that safety and quality standards are being met and maintained at all times within the company's safety and QA programs.
• Support of department manager in questions of process and work optimization as well as in questions of cost-effectiveness in their respective fields of expertise.
• Assists in the engineering and coordination of projects from start to finish. Works to assure quality, timeliness, consistency and accuracy of test reports.
• Assist technicians, preparation and pre-checking of non-standardized test set-ups and, in any case, when customers visit.
• Perform the test guidelines, work orders and run non-standards testing.
• Data processing of test results.
• Reporting, reviewing and authorizing results. Signing of test reports to be sent to the client.
• Appropriate customer support for technical aspects in collaboration with the project manager. Interfaces with client on a frequent basis for job initiation, job progress and general customer service. Customer assistance in the event of a visit.

 

Skills / Qualifications

 

• Mechanical / Aerospace engineer degree and/or more than 2 years of experience in the field of test engineering/project management.
• Knowledge of control systems, basic structural calculation, and elasticity and mechanical Design (CATIA v5).
• Ability to speak effectively in English.
