Responsibilities

  • Organising and conducting assessments of applicant installer companies against documented procedures and completing the required documentation
  • Organising and conducting site inspections of installed constructions against documented procedures and completing the required documentation
  • Organising and conducting competency assessments of supervisors and operatives employed by FIRAS certified companies
  • Conducting / reporting site inspections against requirements of individual contracts
  • Organising and conducting paint sampling and inspection against documented procedures and conducting laboratory evaluation of sampled paints and reporting of same
  • Ensuring all clients and enquirers receive sound technical advice

Skills / Qualifications

  • Experience at a technical level in passive fire protection either with a contractor, product manufacturer or testing and approval body
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience within relevant industry sectors (ie engineering, chemical, joinery)
  • Knowledge of electronics is advantageous
  • Good general education, including English and Maths
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • On-site inspection experience
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Be able to prioritise, organise and coordinate your workload
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Clean driving license and full UK passport
