Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Electromagnetic Test Technician (EMI - 2nd shift) to join our rapidly expanding team.As a member of the operations team, the Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. 

 

This position is located in Boucherville, QC

 

Responsibilities

  • Set up and perform EMI tests as directed, in accordance with applicable industry standards and customer specifications
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of EMI test standards, EMI test procedures, and EMI test instrumentation
  • Accurately observe and record test progression and results
  • Organize and document data for each assigned project
  • Interact with customers during the testing process, periodically assist with troubleshooting and development modifications

 

Skills / Qualifications

  • Education in Electronics or Physics
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a testing related field
  • Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
  • Familiarity with standard electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, power supplies, etc.)
  • Possess computer skills

Physical Demands:

  • Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)
  • Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and >50 lbs. on occasion
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
