Overview

NDT Technician needed! Reporting directly to the Production Manager and working with a highly qualified and accomplished team to deliver an excellent level of testing while always maintaining safety and quality standards. Must be within commutable distance and have UK Right to work.

 

Level 1

Radiography Level 1 qualification EN1479 (Aerospace) with experience of undertaking radiography (shooting) of aerospace components (CR/DR and/or film)

Responsibilities

• Working cooperatively with Level 2 and Level 3 NDT personnel to perform Radiographic and Computed Radiographic Testing, alongside other methods
• Conducting testing and inspection processes in accordance with written procedures
• Working alongside Trainee and Level 1 team members to provide training and guidance- full technical training will be provided to national and internationally recognised standards
• Working with company appointed Level 3 and Technical Management to develop experience and qualification through structured training in designated NDT methods
• Gain authorisation to Level 2 status in line with the company Written Practice
• Work independently as a Level 2 Technician
• Assisting with other NDT methods, process checks, and data gathering
• Additional duties as required by the busines

Skills / Qualifications

 

Experience in a similar Industrial Radiography role
• Documented evidence of working experience to a Level 2 standard
• Able to achieve Level 2 authorisation within a short period

• Experience working within an engineering or Laboratory environment
• Educated to good standard in Maths and English, or a science related subject (assessment and additional training available)
• Excellent attention to detail, and able to follow instruction
• IT literate, including Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excels in teamwork, and able to work confidently as an individual
• Excellent communication, written and verbal, and inter-personal skills
• Good organisational skills, methodical approach
• Ability to work consistently during high pressure periods, able to manage deadlines
