Overview

Element’s growing Lab Technology Group, hosting a multi-branch team of skilled professionals ranging from application developers, engineers, IT support technicians and the inspection laboratory business analysts is looking to expand with a LIMS Integration Developer , primarily focusing on building bridges between our central application(s) and various Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) tools.

 

This role will involve implementing and developing an integration layer utilizing the Azure technology stack and industry best practices to ensure high-quality products are delivered. While the primary focus will be on LIMS integration, there may be opportunities to work on other state-of-the-art integrations and APIs as well.

 

This position is remote with occasional travel to various offices as needed.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions and integrations (API's) to meet identified business needs, with a primary focus on integrating our central application(s) with various LIMS tools.
  • Present effectively, multitask, and prioritize workload effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Communicate effectively with technical, business, operations, and support teams, utilizing specialist knowledge to engage stakeholders appropriately.
  • Identify improvements to current processes and evaluate technology solutions to meet business needs.
  • Utilize techniques and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct testing and validation of systems and integrations to ensure reliability and functionality.
  • Provide technical and end-user support for systems, collaborating with other IT teams as necessary.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service both face-to-face and remotely.
  • Create technical and end-user support documentation to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure timely resolution of incidents, problems, and requests recorded through the help desk system, meeting target service levels.
  • Develop and maintain peer networks internally and externally to stay informed about the business and current industry standards.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a Computer Science related subject (preferably).
  • Proficiency in software development, including experience with .NET, C#, and high knowledge of database structures (e.g., SQL).
  • Experience with Azure technologies, such as logic apps, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Functions.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and migration, particularly DevOps pipelines including YAML and Bicep is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Proactive approach to learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Familiarity with laboratory or inspection environments is a plus
