Warringtonfire part of Element, has exciting opportunity for a Technical Assistant to join our Fire laboratory in High Wycombe.

As a Technical Assistant you will be performing a variety of fire tests on items such as roller shutter doors, fire doors and building materials amongst others. Our testing determines whether our clients' products perform as intended. This is a great opportunity to join a leading Testing, Inspection and Certification company. 

• Fabrication of supporting constructions for fire test specimens
• Fabrication of specialist constructions required for fire tests
• Installation of fire test specimens
• Instrumentation of fire test specimens
• Conducting fire tests
• Demolition and disposal of test remains
• Maintenance of laboratory, test equipment and safety equipment

• A good general level of education 
• Ideally experienced in the construction industry or similar 
• Preference would be given to individuals experienced in fire safety testing 
• Capable of using a variety of hand and power tools, angle grinders, chop saws etc 
• Demonstrable ability to learn quickly and absorb new skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Experience of meeting deadlines
• Can follow instructions and procedures accurately and in a timely and efficient manner
• Be able to work the following shift patterns: 07:00am to 15:00pm / 12:00pm to 20:00pm alternated weeks (after 3 months training)
