Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Cash and Payments Accounts Assistant to join our growing team in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the fastest growing companies in the Testing, Inspection and Certification sector located in our Global Business Services function in Newbridge , Edinburgh and reporting directly to the European Accounts Payable Manager. 
  
You will be expected to assist with the further development of the Cash and Payments team within our Global Business Services function and to optimise systems to improve efficiency and information.  You will have a passion for continuous improvement and will support our project team ensuring successful implementation of our new ERP platform. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Daily download of multiple bank statements and posting to customer accounts
  • Resolve queries with internal stakeholders on unallocated cash / remittances
  • Reconciliation of all payments across multiple ERPs / banks
  • Supporting the weekly manual payments process required for all European stakeholders
  • Daily Bank reconciliation across multiple ERPs / banks
  • Calculation and posting of FX transactions
  • Posting of multiple credit card statements
  • Effectively communicate and partner with other finance teams
  • Drive continuous improvement ideas with a view to being best in class 

Skills / Qualifications

  • Experience in cash / treasury across multi banks and currencies
  • Effective prioritisation and time management skills
  • Demonstratable problem resolution skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software systems and Microsoft packages
  • Ability to remain calm when faced with deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of cash / banking processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to function as part of a team
