Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Technical Manager.

 

In this role you will be a member of the operational leadership team reporting to the Operations Manager and perform a variety of technical and leadership responsibilities within the department to insure timely and accurate test results are delivered. All Operational Leadership positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

 

This position will be based in Ghatkopar West, Mumbai, India

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Working to ensure necessary accreditations are maintained - Audit preparation and participation
  • Specification and procedure reviews
  • Preparing and approving technical reports
  • Developing technologies to support the laboratory's growth
  • Customer interaction - Lead technical discussions when required
  • Prepare reports for senior management if required
  • Providing technical support during the quotation process
  • Responsible for the upkeep of training/competence records
  • Ensure compliance with Element internal procedures and QMS
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Operations Manager

Skills / Qualifications

  • Min. B.Tech. in Metallurgy or a related field
  • Higher degree would be advantageous
  • Minimum 10 years experience
  • Experience in failure analysis
  • Experience in corrosion testing
  • Experience in metallurgical testing
  • Experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory is essential
  • Experience with managing a team
