Element Materials Technology, providing a full range of asbestos monitoring services to private and public sector clients, is currently recruiting for a CCP/CoCA qualified Asbestos Technical Manager. Candidates will have experience working for a UKAS accredited consultancy; overseeing internal audits and training, maintaining the company’s UKAS accreditations and implementing ISO and H&S procedures to ensure compliance. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a strong technical knowledge of the asbestos industry and will hold the CCP qualification as a minimum.
The role of Technical Manager is important in driving improvements in the overall quality of performance at a single or multiple locations as applicable. This includes management of aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS), maintaining and developing relationships with customers, and enhancing processes and procedures to realize efficiency.
In this role, you will interact with customers and accreditation bodies and will be responsible for advising operational colleagues of the importance of technical quality, accuracy, and integrity in the provision of the diverse range of services we provide. You will be involved in leading standards at a local level and will work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure that the Element quality policy, processes, and procedures are effectively defined, implemented, and maintained.
• Maintenance of ISO17025/17020 Accreditation Standards

• Standard operating procedures
• Provide technical advice and guidance to all members of staff within the asbestos business unit.

• CCP/CoCA – Strongly desirable, or working towards

• Experience working in a Technical role
• Experience developing training plans
• Be able to demonstrate a strong working Knowledge of HSG248, HSG 264, Lab30 RG8 and other applicable regulatory and ACOP documents
