Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team.  As a member of the operations team, the Senior Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.  The engineer positions must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

 

Location: Tuas, Singapore

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for routine mechanical test such as Tensile, Hardness, Charpy and Bend Test
  • Perform critical facture mechanics test such as CTOD, SENT, Rebar Fatigue
  • Perform correstion test such as G48, ASTM A262, G28,SSC, HIC and etc
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, resolving exigencies such as urgent requirements
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organisation's policies and applicable laws

Skills / Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ pertinent post-degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • In-depth understanding of testing concepts and familiar with international and local code & standards such as ASTM, BS, AWS, ASME, DNV, ABS, AS and other testing standards
  • Possess a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
