Overview

As Head of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our technical strategy, leading a high-performing engineering team, and driving product development across software engineering, data engineering, and AI. This role is critical to ensuring that RegNav AI builds scalable, secure, and intelligent solutions that power the next generation of regulatory navigation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Owning the tech stack and architecture – Design and implement a scalable, AI-powered SaaS platform 
  • Leading AI & Data Science integration- Work with ML engineers and Applied AI engineers to build intelligent automation, predictive models, and NLP-driven insights 
  • Leading and growing the engineering team - Direct and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, driving a high-performance culture 
  • Driving architectural decisions - To ensure scalability, security, and performance 
  • Defining systems and processes - To successfully execute the product roadmap 
  • Establishing best practices - for software development, data infrastructure, and AI/ML implementation 
  • Overseeing operational aspects of software development process - to ensure effective workflows across developers 
  • Moving fast and shipping high quality code – Balance speed and quality in an agile, early-stage environment 
  • Managing and conducting code reviews - to maintain high code quality, implement and enforce testing best practices for the software 
  • Ensuring high-quality software - through modern DevOps, CI/CD, and testing practices 
  • Collaborating with leadership and team – work closely with product, design and compliance experts to build AI driven decision support for complex regulations 
  • Being hands on – Guide system architecture. AI Model deployment, and data pipelines in addition to demonstrating strong coding skills  
  • Staying ahead of emerging technologies - in AI, data engineering, and software development 

Skills / Qualifications

  • Startup mindset – Comfortable in ambiguity, resourceful, and execution-driven. 
  • B2B Saas & AI experience - Proven track record in building AI powered B2B SaaS products from Seed to Series A+ 
  • Deep technical leadership - Expertise in ML, NLP, Data Engineering, cloud computing, and scalable architectures  
  • Ownership mentality – You think like a founder and care about outcomes, not just code  
  • Strong expertise - in software development, data engineering, and AI/ML 
  • Experience building scalable cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) 
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages 
  • Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Spark)
