Element has an opportunity for a Data Processor to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the Data Processer position primarily responsible for assisting in designing, planning, and coordinating geotechnical instrumentation projects, scheduling control, obtaining permits for on-site installation, and setting up and commissioning monitoring.
This role is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Receive and review field data (borehole logs, CPT, SPT, rock coring, etc.) from site engineers/ geologist.
Compile lab test results (e.g., moisture content, Atterberg limits, triaxial, consolidation tests).
Validate data accuracy against site records and laboratory logs
Generate borehole logs using software such as AutoCAD, Geosmart
Work closely with geotechnical engineers, drafters, lab technicians, and field staff & follow up with external laboratories or drilling contractors for missing data or clarifications.
Data processing for field test such as Permeability Test, Packer Test, Pressuremeter Test, Vane Shear Test, CPT
Align reports with project specifications, national standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, IS codes), and local regulatory requirements
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in data.
Familiarity with common soil types in Singapore
Ability to work under pressure to meet submission deadlines
Update project managers on report status and highlight any delays or issues
Support revisions and feedback from engineers and clients promptly and professionally
Perform quality checks on all data inputs and report outputs
