Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring Technician for Singapore. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for assisting in designing, planning, and coordinating geotechnical instrumentation projects, scheduling control, obtaining permits for on-site installation, and setting up and commissioning monitoring.

 

This role is based in Kaki Bukit, Singapore. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in installing and maintaining geotechnical instruments like inclinometers, piezometers, and settlement markers
  • Collect and record monitoring data from the site
  • Check instruments regularly to make sure they work correctly
  • Assist in preparing reports and summaries of the data
  • Follow safety rules and site regulations at all times
  • Work with engineers and the project team to support monitoring activities
  • Keep instruments and tools organized and ready for use.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • High School Diploma or Degree preferred; college or vocational coursework is an advantage
  • 0–2 years of experience in testing or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of testing concepts and computer skills
  • Working experience in the construction industry
  • Physically fit and able to withstand the challenging working conditions
  • Strong and determined quality focus with indefatigable determination to get the job done under the most challenging conditions and meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational and communication skills
