Element has an opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity to develop your Procurement career within a Global TIC business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate and implement innovative procurement category strategies to deliver year-on-year savings and efficiencies.
  • Develop and align category and spend strategies in line with business objectives. 
  • Support the identification, selection, and development of suppliers to deliver on current and future business needs.
  • Apply industry best practices and ensure compliance with procurement governance.
  • Drive supplier and contract management activities within IT, ensuring alignment with business needs, supplier performance, compliance, and value for money.
  • Ensure all agreements meet organisational objectives for quality, cost, risk management, and professional standards.
  • Apply robust contract management practices to ensure licenses, services and products are delivered in line with contractual obligation
  •  Identify and analyse external spend for licenses and services within IT, and categorise appropriately to enable effective strategy development.

  • Develop, communicate, and implement category strategies that deliver value, efficiency, and alignment with business needs.

  • Establish and embed supplier management best practices to drive performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration on contract and supplier management matters.

  • Promote the role and capabilities of the Procurement team to increase visibility, engagement across the business.

  • Ensure all contracts are fully documented and maintained to support compliance and risk management.

  • Benchmark and challenge existing approaches, driving innovation and continuous improvement in supplier management practices across the organisation and its acquisitions.

  • Rationalise the supplier base by consolidating spend with key suppliers to leverage economies of scale and achieve cost efficiencies.

  • Monitor and manage supplier performance against contractual obligations, ensuring timely interventions where remedial action is required.

Skills / Qualifications

  • MCIPS qualification (or equivalent relevant procurement experience)
  • Extensive procurement experience, including category strategy development, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proven leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex commercial issues across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and sound judgment skills.
  • Experience in drafting tender documents, contracts, and bespoke contractual terms.
  •   Proven experience leading complex contract negotiations and managing contract changes to secure optimal outcomes.
  • Strong contract management expertise, ensuring value for money, supplier performance, compliance, and effective risk control throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and procurement solutions with the ability to leverage technology to optimise sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance.
  • Proven project management and implementation capability.
  • Awareness of legal and contractual risks, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
