Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Machinist to join our rapidly expanding team.You will perform a variety of routine and non-routine machining assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. 

 

This role is based in Tuas, Singapore. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Uses cutting equipment to prepare specimens for testing as dictated in customer specifications
  • Designs, sets-up and performs a variety of machining tasks according to customer specifications and requirements
  • Machine samples using milling, grinding, manual lathe and CNC lathe machines
  • Help in cutting on bandsaw as required
  • Maintaining HSE and 5S standards
  • Assist Supervisor in scheduling and managing work schedules as required
  • Site work flexibility as and when required
  • Flexibility of working timing and shift as scheduled including night shift

Skills / Qualifications

  • More than 5 years of experience in the machine-shop will be of advantage
  • Must possess Diploma or any relevant Certifications
  • Flexible to work in shifts or overtime as required by business demands
  • Depth of understanding related to machining concepts, measuring instruments and dimensional concepts
  • Working knowledge of machine shop safety protocol & 5S requirements
  • Flexible to work in other departments & on-site (if required)
