As a Divisional Commercial Excellence Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and elevating our commercial performance. This leader will champion a suite of high-impact initiatives, tools, and processes that strengthen our commercial capabilities and empower our sales teams to excel.

 

In this role, you will proactively drive progress across key actions and KPIs, translating data into meaningful insights that guide strategic decision-making. Your timely reporting, analysis, and recommendations will directly influence how the Division operates and how we enable our teams to surpass their targets.

 

As our Power BI and CRM Champion, you’ll partner closely with the Divisional Sales Director, Business Unit Commercial Excellence Manager, and sales teams to enhance adoption of commercial systems, embed best practices, and cultivate a culture where excellence is part of everyday work. Your leadership will help create a consistently aligned, high-performing, and customer-centric environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data, insights, and reports to the Divisional Sales Director to support visibility, decision-making, and monthly/annual planning
  • Partner with the Business Unit Commercial Excellence Manager to roll out Commercial Excellence initiatives and embed best-practice processes across the sales team
  • Provides key market analysis and customer analysis to drive divisional campaigns for strategic growth and new business targets
  • Work directly with sales teams—both remotely and through on-site lab visits—to drive adoption of systems (CRM, Power BI), initiatives, and a consistent commercial operating rhythm
  • Monitor campaigns, KPIs, BD activity, leads, and opportunities; analyse performance, identify root causes, and guide actions to improve results
  • Support and manage divisional growth initiatives, pricing actions, budget preparation, pipeline reviews, and Go-to-Market planning
  • Collaborate with marketing to align divisional needs, drive campaigns, and generate new business opportunities
  • Assist with key account planning, market/customer analysis, and strategic growth activities
  • Lead onboarding for new commercial team members on systems, processes, and CRM use; deliver training and coaching as needed
  • Act as CRM and Power BI Champion, staying current on system updates and representing the Division in development discussions with central/IT teams
  • Travel to and from Laboratories within the Division cluster to support face to face sales meetings and reviews
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, environmental standards, and all applicable regulations.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret commercial data
  • Proven experience in sales support / sales
  • Experience of working with PowerBI desirable, but not essential
  • Advanced skills in MS Applications
  • CRM champion
  • Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and priorities
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs
  • Good interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication
  • Ability to travel, with overnight stays, may be required
