Overview

Element has a opportunity for a Project Manager/Hybrid working who will work across multiple sites and in close collaboration with general management, operational management, laboratory staff, technical specialists, sales and commercial functions, this role will provide overarching project management leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Updates on project progress, technical, commercial and financial issues as appropriate
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget and to clients satisfaction
  • Conduct technical, commercial and financial contract reviews
  • Chair project launch meetings as appropriate
  • Establish effective project communication plans and protocols
  • Production of detailed project plans to enable monitoring and tracking during the project life cycle
  • Establish, manage and maintain good and effective working relationships with team members, clients, vendors, third parties and stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Perform risk management to minimise risk to the project
  • Measure and analyse project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impact to schedule and budget
  • Identify and leverage new opportunities during the project life cycle
  • Conduct ‘post project’ evaluation and analysis and feedback to stakeholders as appropriate
  • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations
  • Developing and mentoring of team members as required
  • Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
  • Analyse, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years managing projects within an engineering or TIC based organisation
  • Experience delivering change and multi-disciplinary projects
  • Creation of operational project plans
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Development of high performing teams
  • Project Management – delivering excellent customer service
  • Continuous Improvement and Change Management
  • Understanding and knowledge of the requirements of the UKAS for testing laboratories
  • Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety systems and environmental regulations
  • Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques;
  • Good understanding of the wider objectives of the program
  • Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management;
  • Strong leadership and management skills;
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
