Our Application Sales Engineers (ASEs) are technically minded commercial colleagues.
Ambassadors for Element, our ASEs' technical knowledge and understanding provide reassurance to our customers that they can trust Element with their testing, inspection, and certification needs.
Fantastic communicators, our ASEs actively listen to their customers’ needs and are prepared to ask probing questions to interpret their technical requirements. They also provide the bridge between sales and operations, ensuring we present a unified, one Element response to our customers.
This is a highly collaborative role that blends technical problem-solving with customer interaction. Our ASEs are critical to ensuring our quotes are competitive, feasible, and aligned with both customer expectations and business goals.
In Element, we know this role as an Application Sales Engineer, but elsewhere, similar roles may be known as Technical Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Specialist or Technical Sales Representative.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Relevant technical knowledge; sales experience an advantage
Skilled at explaining technical concepts to both specialist and non-specialist audiences
Strong knowledge of quotation process (can be developed on the job)
Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering, science, business, or equivalent experience
Proficient in MS Office
Familiarity with CRM an advantage
