Overview

We are seeking an experienced Façade Structural Engineer with strong technical expertise in aluminium façade systems. The role involves structural design review, technical assessments, and close collaboration with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project compliance with relevant standards and requirements.

 

This postion will be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide structural engineering expertise for façade systems, including aluminium curtain walls, unitized systems, windows and doors, pergolas, canopies, sliding systems, balustrades/handrails, skylights, and related components
  • Review structural calculations submitted by clients to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards
  • Participate in the design review process to confirm designs meet project specifications and performance criteria
  • Understand project requirements and prepare technical review reports with clear recommendations
  • Attend and participate in client and stakeholder meetings to review and clarify project requirements
  • Conduct drawing reviews and assess relevant test reports and method statements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local, regional, and international industry standards
  • Perform additional responsibilities associated with the role as required

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the façade and aluminium industry.

  • Strong knowledge of façade-related local and international standards.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.

  • Proficient in structural and design software such as STAAD, AutoCAD, anchor design tools, IDEA StatiCa, and similar programs.

  • Experience with thermal simulation software such as THERM, Flixo, or equivalent tools.
