Overview

Element Materials Technology are seeking a Quality Coordinator to support and maintain excellence within our Aerospace & Defence Business Unit.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and continuous adherence to quality requirements. Reporting to the Quality Manager, Metrology & Calibration, you will work closely with local site management and provide leadership support as a designated deputy in their absence.

 

This laboratory based position offers an opportunity for a quality-focused professional to contribute meaningfully within a highly regulated environment, supporting operational integrity, customer confidence, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and report on the effectiveness and integrity of the Business Unit Quality Management System, ensuring quality policies, objectives, and changes are effectively implemented and embedded into business processes
  • Support and conduct internal, external, and third-party audits to meet customer, accreditation, and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely management and closure of non-conformances and customer complaints
  • Promote a strong quality and customer-focused culture by driving continuous improvement, risk and opportunity management, quality training, root cause analysis, and customer feedback activities
  • Maintain document control, supplier registers, quality records, customer questionnaires, and support divisional and BU quality initiatives, including promotion of the eQMS (Intelex)
  • Build effective relationships across divisional and business unit quality teams and provide additional support to departmental objectives as directed by management.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Two to Three years audit experience within a quality role participating, preferly experience of coordinating 1st or 3rd party audits for ISO17025 or similar
  • Educated to degree (or equivalent) preferred
  • Good knowledge and understanding of ISO17025 quality management systems or similar
  • Good knowledge of quality tools like 8D, RCA, CAPA and risks assessments, such as P-FMEA
  • Good time management skills with the ability to plan and work on own initiative
  • Proficiency in the use of PC and similar mobile devices
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Teamwork; works in partnership across all functions and site with the Operations Manager, Department Managers and Quality Manager to engage, direct and support their contribution to the effectiveness of the quality management system
