Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Associate Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. 

 

This role is based in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform Calibration and Measurement of Dimension gauges and instruments as per WI using CMM, reference master, tester etc (on-site and in-house) with report and necessary administrative work
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of lab equipment as schedule and assigned
  • Ensure proper delivery of service to customer(s)
  • Help manager to manage day-to-day calibration work in the labs reference to ISO17025 standard, eg. Quality/ Job Planning/ Job Assignment/ Customer Requirements etc
  • Any other duties as assigned by Manager/ Section Head/ Senior staff

Skills / Qualifications

• ITE/GCE/ Diploma in Aerospace/ Precision / Mechanical Engineering etc
• 2 to 3 years working knowledge in QC/QA or Calibration / Testing field.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawing and GD&T.
• Ability to analyze and compile Calibration / testing data from the Calibration/ tests performed
• Good to have 2 to 3 years CMM knowledge.
• Good to have ISO17025 and measurement uncertainty knowledge
• Possess strong computer skills
• Basic Mathematical Skills. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus

 

Physical Demands:
• Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)
• Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and >50 lbs. on occasion
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
