Element has an opportunity for a Business Development Associate responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with a defined group of Element clients and prospects. In this role you will be responsible for pursuing sales opportunities to sell the full breadth of Element services across accounts in order to meet their assigned budget. You will be responsibility to assure customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process and support strategic or key accounts and interact with the broader Element Sales Team.

• Achieve sales goals by converting, retaining and penetrating accounts
• Establish and proactively maintain a strong professional relationship with key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts
• Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with current and potential customers, acting as a liaison between the customers and Element
• Generate quotations and follow up in a timely manner on enquiries/quotations for the assigned customer base
• Gather and analyse market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends to determine customer needs
• Deliver business development related presentations, negotiate, and close business with nominated accounts, working in coordination with location business development resources
• Participate in regular pipeline reviews, prepare reports and presentations showing sales volume by sector, region, location, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
• Actively utilise CRM to record activities, ensuring contact details are accurate, duplicates are removed, new information added and accurate call / visit logs are entered, and ensuring all CRM records are up to date and critical success factors are identified for key opportunities

• Minimum 3 years of Sales and/or Application Engineer experience with mechanical testing & inspection knowledge including load testing a plus
• Good interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication built on mutual respect and well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs
• Bachelors/Diploma of Engineering or equivalent preferred but other tertiary education will be considered
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Dynamics CRM, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements; help develop proposals including cost estimates, work plan, and terms and conditions
