  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a Client Manager to join our BM TRADA Product Certification team based in High Wycombe. This is a great opportunity for an individual to develop their existing product knowledge and auditing skills in a career with a growing global organisation.


    • Manage a number of BM TRADA customers, both new and existing, in the door, window, timber and steel construction products and installation certification schemes
    • Plan, book and carry out factory audits of manufacturers within the timescales required under the rules of the certification schemes
    • Plan, book and carry out site audits of installers and maintainers of products within the timescales required under the rules of the certification schemes
    • Review and approve responses to any non-conformances raised during audit visits
    • Accurately record findings during client audit visits and submit reports in line with operational target objectives
    • Review and approve responses to any non-conformances raised during audit visits within agreed timescales
    • To act as the first point of contact for any technical / certification compliance queries that customers may have
    • Produce quotations for changes to the scope of certification for existing customers and to implement these changes once agreed
    • Gather and review test evidence and audit results and to make certification decisions on behalf of BM TRADA
    • Represent the company in a professional manner
    • To undertake any other duties requested by management

    Skills / Qualifications

    • A good general education including as a minimum English, Maths and Sciences (Grade C or above)
    • Experience in factory process auditing for product certification in the door (fire or security), window, timber and steel construction products sector
    • Experience relating to ISO 9001 auditing, ideally holding an IRCA Lead Auditor qualification
    • Experience in Installing fire doors or fire related products
    • Good knowledge of manufacturing and testing standard (British or European) for construction products
    • Understanding of factory processes for construction products
    • Good IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Logical, methodical planning skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Project management skills
    • Experience of meeting deadlines
    • Excellent telephone manner
    • Able to operate as part of a team or alone
    • Willingness to travel extensively, both in the UK and abroad
