• NDT Level II Technician - Radiography

  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a Radiographic NDT Level II Technician. You will be responsible for conducting radiographic testing in accordance with company approved procedures while paying close attention to safety and project timelines.


    • Conduct radiography using X, Y and high energy equipment on cast and welded components.
    • Prepare test specimens, devise methods, setup and adjust test equipment.
    • Experience utilising industry specifications such as: ASTM, Rolls Royce, BAE and ISO.
    • Familiarity with testing codes and standards.
    • Ability to accurately analyse and interpret test data to produce a test report in a clear and well written manner.
    • Maintain related test equipment and tools in good working order
    • Complete assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Practical casting radiography experience
    • PCN Level II castings and welds
    • Computed Radiography advantageous
    • Basic radiation safety
    • SNT-TC-1A level I & Level II classroom hours and recorded on the job training
    • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook)
    • Knowledgeable in casting process
    • Possess great organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to document NDT results well
    • Experience using overhead cranes and material handling equipment
    • The ability to prioritise a demanding workload
