  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a Health, Safety and Quality Officer based in Deeside.


    • Working in the Health, Safety and Quality department assisting the HSQ Manager with implementing, maintenance and improvement of the quality and health and safety management system
    • Maintaining Analytical Quality Control (AQC) precision and bias log, calibration schedule and equipment register
    • Maintaining document control system
    • Carry out quality and health and safety management system audits, method witness, horizontal and vertical
    • Assisting the HSQ Manager in maintaining and monitoring non-conformances and query log
    • Assisting the HSQ Manager in maintaining and monitoring SHE tool and carry out investigations into all incidents, near misses and hazard identifications
    • Carry out safety inspections and walk rounds
    • Performing all duties in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety policy
    • Ad hoc duties as required

    Skills / Qualifications

    • A science background and education to A level is preferred
    • Degree qualification in a relevant subject is desirable although this is not essential
    • Relevant experience within a commercial analytical laboratory would be advantageous
    • Highly motivated and organized individual with a flexible approach to work
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of work or safety
