  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for an entry level position as an NDT Assistant. In this role you will be travelling to customer sites, mainly within the food industry, to support the NDT Technicians with their inspections of equipment and vessels. No previous experience is required for this role.


    • Travelling to customer sites to support the NDT Technicians with their inspections of equipment and vessels
    • Confined space entry support
    • Support with all aspects of inspection and testing associated with penetrant and magnetic flaw detection and food orientated customer NDT
    • Candidates who are successful in the position may progress onto qualification processes 
    • You may dependent upon workloads be requested to assist in other departments in the
    • Lab involving other NDT methods and service work as and when required
    • Will involve extensive travel both in the UK & Overseas

    Skills / Qualifications

    No experience required. Full training will be given
    Educated to a good general standard including Maths and English


    Other skills and abilities:

    • Good communication – this is a customer facing role
    • Patience
    • Quick learner & willingness to advance through training and qualification examinations
    • Attention to detail
    • Able to cope with repetitive tasks and manual handling
    • Able to work within the team
    • Must be willing to work unsociable hours
    • Willing to work in confined spaces and at height
    • Work some weekends within a rota if required
