    FIRA International, part of the Element group, has an opportunity for a FIRA Service Technician to join our growing team.This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a Global Testing, Inspection & Certification business.As part of the Element Group, we specialise in providing a comprehensive range of independent testing, certification, consultancy and inspection services to the furniture industry. We exist to help customers to make certain that their materials, products, systems and operations are safe, quality, compliant and ultimately fit for purpose. This role is based in South of London.

    Responsibilities

    • To inspect and repair as necessary furniture items in customer’s homes
    • To produce written reports for use by FST and clients
    • To manage customer expectations and provide product maintenance advice
    • Liaise with clients to resolve any technical issues with may arise
    • Undertake other reasonable activities as required which may include UK or Ireland travel

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Significant experience gained in a domestic furniture production and/or restoration techniques
    • Extensive relevant workplace experience
    • Strong organisation skills; proactive and methodical
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
    • A customer-focused approach - both internal and external customers
    • The ability to work as part of a team
    • Able to work using own initiative
    • A good communicator
    • Good work ethic
