  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a new HR Advisor to support our Fire and Building Products Certification and FIRA divisions, based from High Wycombe.

     

    The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR service of several sites across the division. This is true HR Generalist remit and will deliver a proactive and flexible advisory service to multi-site stakeholders and employees whilst driving best practice.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide day-to-day advice and guidance to managers on all HR-related topics - i.e. disciplinary, grievance, capability and recruitment
    • Maximise productivity through effective absence and performance management
    • Assist the Division HR Manager in the delivery of local, division and group wide change initiatives for HR-related matters
    • Lead the business in activities that engage, retain and motivate our colleagues
    • Support division succession planning for key talent and key strategic roles
    • Educate and develop people managers to ensure consistent and effective practices are in place and to enhance the employee experience
    • Ensure business compliance with all company policies, procedures and employment legislation
    • Produce and analyse relevant management information, highlighting and addressing trends/issues

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Flexibility to travel within the UK to support a multi-site remit (full, clean driving licence essential)
    • Broad generalist HR experience
    • Relevant HR-related qualification is advantageous
    • Experience in designing and delivering people initiatives to drive continuous improvement
    • Coaching and mentoring experience
    • Sound, up to date knowledge of UK Employment Law
    • MS office skills at a good standard level of competence
    • Effective communication and influencing skills
    • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident professional with strong stakeholder management
    • Effective time management skills and the ability to manage a challenging workload across a geographically diverse and fast-paced business with differing priorities
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Comfortable managing challenging and conflicting priorities
