    BM Trada, part of the Element Group, has an opportunity for a Product Development Manager to join our growing team.     • Agree annual development targets and KPIs in terms timings of new product launches
    • Establish and maintain a strong understanding of BM TRADA’s current markets and customers, as a starting point for the development of new product opportunities
    • Develop and maintain a network of key stakeholders including, where appropriate, colleagues, customers, consultants, accreditation bodies, trade associations, government departments and other influencers
    • Identify new product development opportunities via stakeholder network, market knowledge and awareness 
    • In collaboration with sales & marketing teams and operational teams, undertake market research of potential new business opportunities
    • Develop tools to aid the effective analysis of the market potential of new products opportunities
    • Where necessary identify external technical expertise to assist with business case–building and subsequent scheme development / maintenance
    • Prepare business case reports for presentation to senior management for investment decisions    
    • Once approved, prepare time-bound plans for the successful launch of new business opportunities
    • In collaboration with CCS technical team, develop scheme documentation as appropriate
    • In collaboration with sales & marketing teams, develop promotional launch plan including collateral marketing material and internal / external communication
    • In collaboration with CCS training team / technical expert(s) develop internal / external technical training courses as appropriate
    • Provide on-going technical / market support for new product(s)
    • Build and maintain a working knowledge of BM TRADA’s service offerings; participate in training/coaching opportunities
    • Ensure compliance with all Element policies including but not limited to Terms and Conditions, trade compliance, treatment of others, moral code of conduct, and employee handbook
    • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws pertaining to safety, environment and corporate governance

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Significant experience with Sales responsibilities
    • Ideally educated to degree level, preferably in Environmental Sciences, Business or Construction disciplines
    • Experience in interpreting testing procedures and requirements
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Dynamics AX and CRM, Word, Excel)
    • Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the company at a broad range of events / projects in the community, with customers and within the company
    • Ability to identify, analyse and evaluate new business opportunities in order to maximise the commercial success of each new launch
    • Business acumen
    • Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
    • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs
    • Good interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication built on mutual respect
    • Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements; helps develops proposals including cost estimates, work plan and terms and conditions
    • Ability to travel; some overnight travel may be required
