  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our expanding team. Working on nuclear clients' sites based in Oldbury, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the leading Environmental Consultancy in the Nuclear industry.


    Our ideal candidate will be BOHS P402 qualified to work on Commercial and industrial surveys and must be able to conduct Commercial and Industrial Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys. The role will be working within a team and working alone completing asbestos survey reports using a tablet-based system.


    • Survey and re-inspections programmes and ensuring the asbestos register is kept up to date
    • Responsibility for client interaction/meetings
    • Responsibility for submission of staff timesheets
    • Attending regular department meetings and providing and ensuring progress updates
    • Assisting the Site Manager in their duties when required

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Significant proven experience (lead surveyor)
    • Proven experience working on large industrial management surveys (refurbishment and demolition survey experience an advantage)
    • Proven experience of technical review of asbestos reports and air monitoring documentation
    • As a minimum applicant should possess BOHS P-402 or equivalent (BOHS P-403 & 404, BOHS P-405, BOHS P-407, BOHS W-504, CCP Asbestos an advantage)
    • Excellent knowledge of CAR 2012 and the management of asbestos in buildings
    • An ability to work flexibly to the needs of the business 
    • IOSH managing safely an advantage
    • Experience producing risk assessments and method statements
    • Good health and safety knowledge
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Industrial sites and standard safety protocol
    • Full, clean driving license
