  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for an Associate Certification Engineer to join our UK based, radio certification team. The appointment will be made at a level commensurate with the experience of the applicant, but for an appointment at Associate Certification Engineer level, there is a defined promotion path to Certification Engineer.


    Associate Certification Engineers will;

    • Take a logical and well organised approach to their work
    • Have the aptitude to learn about the radio certification processes and procedures for multiple certification schemes
    • Contact customers in order to request product documentation and/or update them on project progress
    • Coordinate, prepare, or review product certification submissions for domestic or international projects as detailed in the Product Certification Manual and associated procedures
    • Provide general support to the Element certification scheme

    In addition, Certification Engineers will;

    • Be capable of performing standard tasks without guidance or supervision
    • Technically lead and/or execute technology and engineering projects and development of new technologies at local level
    • Take responsibility for the release of certification evaluation and review findings
    • Provide technical support to sales teams on opportunities
    • Have the aptitude to progress to a Senior Engineer role

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (typically, electronic engineering)
    • Very well organised with a high degree of attention to detail
    • Good communicator, both written and verbally with the ability to converse, in English, with clients at various levels
    • Computer literate with knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
    • Team player with a demonstrated personal commitment and drive and the ability to get the job done
    • Ability to learn quickly
