  • Overview

    Element have an opportuity for a Safety Leader. The Safety Leader will be an HSE Key person with sufficient competence to manage the SERVICES and execute the Contract HSE Plan to meet QP requirements. This position requires developing knowledge of and be trained in Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE).  The position will focus time on multiple responsibilities between a primary function along with the SHE support function and will report directly to the location General Manager.


    This position will be based in Qatar.


    • Hazard Identification and risk assessment
    • HSE Incidents reporting and investigation
      Transportation safety
    • Responsible for implementing effective HSE Policy and supporting programs, procedures and standards in place that are aligned to and compatible with QP’s HSE Management System
    • Manage activities in line with QP’s HSE Policy
    • Comply with the relevant State of Qatar Laws and regulations
    • Set HSE objectives and targets
    • Measure, record, appraise and publicly report HSE performance
    • Identify the hazards associated with the  services and activities
    • Implement appropriate procedures and controls to minimise any potential adverse HSE effects

    Skills / Qualifications

    • NEBOSH certificate with experience in Oil & Gas (preferably QP approved HSE person)
    • Minimum experience level: 1-2 years experience in a safety support role and/or leadership position with interest and/or experience in organization development and working in a challenging setting
    • Basic math skills
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, data and details furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
    • Must be able to complete and understand local Safety, Health and Environmental training
