    Warringtonfire, part of the Element Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our growing Sales team to partner with our top 20 clients. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a Global Testing, Inspection & Certification business. Within this role, You will be given the freedom to build relationships and have the autonomy to develop accounts. Warringtonfire exists to help make certain that the materials, products and processes that we test, inspect and certify for our customers are always safe, quality, compliant and fit for purpose.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and support the development of a named list of ‘Tier A’ accounts (circa 20-30 clients) currently spending up to £400k in annual revenues. These clients will be based both in the UK and overseas
    • Produce in-depth Key Account Plans detailing the current relationship, areas of growth opportunity, and tangible objectives which you will then lead and achieve
    • Work closely with European Sales Manager, General Managers, Lab Managers and the European Sales Team on all aspects of selling, as required
    • Form a close working relationship with operations teams for the mutual benefit of the business.
      Working to defined KPI’s, you will lead usage of the Warringtonfire Hub CRM system, maintain planning tools and adhere to the Warringtonfire Sales Operating Procedure
    • Identify and pursue new business from brand new prospects of your own making as well as from internal databases of non-using / low using and lapsed clients
    • Identify and develop relationship with industry stakeholders, influencers and other parts of the Warringtonfire business
    • Determine the needs of your customers, and implement procedures to ensure that they receive premium customer service and increased customer satisfaction
    • Prepare and lead customer meetings and presentations, engaging other parts of the business as necessary to maximise the opportunity

    Skills / Qualifications

    • A strong technical understanding of passive fire protection & the related testing needs
    • Proven successful sales and business development experience
    • Strong demonstrable experience in customer relationship management (& managing expectations)
    • Experience of developing and owning sales & marketing objectives, and account plans, with a track record of delivering against them
    • Capable of developing a business case for investment or acquisition
    • Hold a current clean driving licence
    • Willingness to travel both in the UK & Europe
    • Strong IT skills, particularly use of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and CRM, and excellent presentation skills are essential to this role
