HR Generalist

Element has an opportunity for a HR Generalist to join our team in Karup, Denmark on  a part-time basis (20-30 hours per week, flexible working hours available). Our new HR Generalist will work as part of a small, dedicated divisional HR team, supporting Element's HR activities for various locations and business units throughout Denmark.


Our new HR Generalist will be responsible for the entire cycle of HR activities, will anticipate HR needs and will be the go-to HR contact for managers and colleagues in the region. This exciting new role will work closely with management, will contribute to the operational success of the region and will drive key HR strategies to support our business’ ambitious growth plans.



  • Supporting Operations Managers with HR advice for all locations in Denmark
  • Execution and coordination of the annual personnel planning, personnel development, salary adjustment and target agreement processes
  • In addition to holistic HR support along the employee life cycle, this role will conduct and accompany HR / conflict discussions
  • Proactive execution and control of HR process implementation
  • Proactive promotion of employee retention
  • Support in the preparation of employment contracts, contract amendments, certificates etc.
  • Monthly HR-KPI reporting and partial support in the preparatory payroll accounting
  • Support in recruitment processes and implementation of HR onboarding process
  • Trusting and constructive cooperation with our union representatives
  • Building a positive and strong business relationship with key stakeholders, Operations Manager and central HR functions
  • Support in mergers and acquisitions, including people due diligence and integration activities


Skills / Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar HR Generalist role
  • Successfully completed studies with a human resources focus
  • Knowledge of Danish labour law and basic knowledge of payroll accounting is required
  • Experience in implementing key employee initiatives such as coordinating and implementing restructuring activity, employee relations and performance management activity
  • Team player with excellent written and verbal English and Danish languages skills
  • Proficiency in the use of IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Demonstrates a continuous drive for quality and a commitment to excellence
