Element has an opportunity for an Operations and System Developer (m/f/d) for Metech Instrument Organizer (MIO™) in Arboga or Linköping, Sweden.

About Metech Instrument Organizer (MIO™)

Metech Instrument Organizer (MIO™) is an Internet service (software as a service) provided by Element Metech to our calibration customers for management of instruments and tools. This includes all customer devices and its calibration status, next calibration date, maintenance plan and calibration interval, calibration history with calibration certificates.

The basis of the back-end Metech Platform is Jeeves Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) with its Microsoft SQL database. The frontend MIO™ is an ASP.NET web application. Development is done in Microsoft Visual Studio using C# and the following frameworks:

• Microsoft MVC (framework for web development)
• nHibernate  (framework for data access to SQL Server)
• Kendo UI (graphical components for the web)
• jQuery (framework for the web client)
• Procedures, integration and databases are Microsoft SQL Servers and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) are used for reports

You will work with our operations and systems development team (based in Arboga), other Element teams worldwide and external suppliers and you will report to the Technical Director.

Your main task is to develop, implement, maintain, support and continuously improve Metech Instrument Organizer (MIO™) and the Metech Platform and includes:

• Support and training of key users
• Create process descriptions and training material
• To be the system administrator and responsible for system maintenance, system descriptions and system documentation
• Manage, coordinate and participate in system development done by external partners and suppliers

Support and is 2nd and 3rd line support for MIO™ (1st line support is by customer service in the countries) and includes the development of support tools for import, update and export of data.

Our digitalization strategy means new features that need to be developed, like:

• MIO™ video training material (in several languages)
• MIO™ application program interface (API) to enable commination with customer systems (like SAP)
• Download of measurement data files from MIO™ (today you are only able to download calibration reports as PDF files from MIO™)

You will also participate and assist in Business Development; including new technologies and services, major contracts, greenfield start-ups, out-sourcing and acquisition of new laboratories.

• Experience with system development and the tools and framework used
  Experience wotj Jeeves Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a merit
• Relevant higher education in Systems Development / IT / Engineering
• Swedish and English is a requirement, other languages is a merit
• Experience with supporting, training and communicating with internal and external customers
