Digital Content Executive

Element has an opportunity for a Digital Content Executive. Are you an exceptional content creator, across a range of digital platforms – from webpages to social content and videos to infographics? Are you clear about the differences when writing for B2B audiences and able to think outside the box, to present technical content in a creative yet accurate way?

It’s an exciting time to join the Digital section of Element’s Fire and Building Products Marketing team – with a new digital strategy and increased focus on digital activity, they now require a Digital Content Executive to collate content from colleagues and produce ongoing, high quality converting materials for use across online campaigns.


Based at our High Wycombe office (remote initially) and reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll work closely with other members of this friendly, fast-paced team. Our parent company, Element, is also investing heavily in digital, with major plans to accelerate growth further, market leading positions across a number of sectors and consistently strong growth levels.



  • A content-specialist support role, with a strong focus on Digital. Supporting the Fire & Building Products marketing team, particularly the Digital Marketing Manager, by producing ongoing, high quality and converting content for use across external online campaigns and assets including:
    o Web pages
    o Social posts and social advertising
    o Blogs
    o Online PR articles
    o Outreach articles
    o Email content
    o Infographics
    o Videos
  • Work with the team to identify new content opportunities
  • Proofread and improve upon content from other team members, where intended for online use
  • Source and adapt legacy content for digital use
  • Encourage and collate contributions from company experts
  • Write and schedule posts for the company social accounts, with a view to increasing referrals and engagement
  • Create and run social media advertising campaigns, to agreed budget and goal targets
  • Upload and edit content in the CMS system
  • Follow formal workflow processes and brand guidelines
  • Work with content marketing executives in our other EMEAA sectors, sharing and adopting best practice
  • Always operate in accordance with Element’s Purpose, Mission, Vision and Values

Skills / Qualifications

  • Outstanding standard of English spelling, punctuation and grammar
  • Strong content creation skills, particularly tailored to digital
  • Demonstrable commercial content production experience
  • Demonstrable understanding of the differences between writing for web vs print / B2B vs B2C
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Experience creating ongoing content for commercial social media accounts, particularly LinkedIn
  • Confident creating and running LinkedIn advertising campaigns
  • Clear understanding of protocols for different social platforms and types of content marketing
  • Competent working knowledge of using a CMS system to upload content, (ideally including Sitecore / Kentico)
  • Strong team player
  • Happy multitasking and working at a fast pace
  • A flexible approach with the ability to react to the short-term needs of the business
  • Technically-minded, able to quickly pick up scientific topics
  • A demonstrable portfolio of previous digital content examples, across a range of platforms
  • Working knowledge of SEO from a copywriting perspective
  • Previous experience with: writing to formal approval processes; scheduling social media; monitoring and managing a business level social media account on a frequent basis; using email providers to create, edit and send emails;
  • Capacity for video and/or infographic creation
  • Some experience in a B2B / Technical / Scientific communications background
  • Some working knowledge of MS Office, Photoshop, Indesign, Hootsuite, SEMRush
