Overview

Element has an opportunity for a new Infrastructure Secruity Engineer to join our growing team in Skelmersdale to support, maintain and develop the core IT security infrastructure so both current and future needs can be sustained. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Improve the security of the production IT infrastructure estate
  • Design, implement and monitor IT security controls that effectively address identified security risks and compliance requirements
  • Review changes to the IT infrastructure estate for any potential security impacts.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments of the IT infrastructure estate; documenting vulnerabilities/risks and establishing action plans to remediate any issues as required
  • Focus on secure configuration, best practice processes, automation, and delivery of industry leading security tools within the IT infrastructure estate
  • Participate in security incident response, investigation and mitigation

Skills / Qualifications

The role requires an experienced infrastructure security specialist, practised in dealing with and protecting against security threats, such as cyber. Requires deploying, maintaining and supporting security solutions across end user compute, data centre, server and network infrastructures.

  • Significant experience in a technical IT security infrastructure role is required
  • Experience of Cloud technologies is required
  • Microsoft stack/ecosystems for end user compute and server environments; including Windows, Windows Server, Azure, Exchange, O365, Active Directory, AzureAD, MS Endpoint Manager (Intune)
  • Non-Microsoft Cloud technologies i.e. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud etc.
  • Standard network protocols i.e. TCP/IP, HTTP and SMTP
  • ISO 27001/2, NIST, PCI, SOX, ITGC, or other security frameworks
  • LAN/WAN – Cisco Networking
  • Firewall – Cisco ASA; Sonicwall; Fortigate
  • F5 APM/LTM
  • MS Defender ATP
  • Ivanti Endpoint Manager
