Electrical Technician (self-employed)

Element has an opportunity for an Electrical Technician (self-employed) to join our team based in Hungary, working closely to support our team in Prague, Czech Republic.



  • Calibration of electrical customers’ received equipment or in-house standards.
  • Production of calibration certificates using appropriate tools.
  • Ensure correct labelling of all serviced equipment.
  • Maintain equipment job control system with accurate data entry.
  • Check, correct and sign issued calibration certificates, where appropriate.
  • Ensure Element Metech calibration standards and support equipment are maintained and calibrated in the appropriate fashion.
  • Perform calibration services in Hungary, Tatabanya and other customer´s premises where requested (on-site calibrations in Poland, Romania, Czech Republic)
  • Engage with Group colleagues and participate in improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the scope of accreditation given by ČIA (National Body) is maintained and managed.
  • Develop automated calibration procedures as required.
  • Develop and highlight training requirements with in-line manager.
  • Participate in integration of Element Metech platform and automation solutions, performing general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system
  • Performing other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory

Skills / Qualifications

  • Educated in Electrical Engineering or another relevant materials related discipline
  • Previous experience in an appropriate Engineering environment is a distinct advantage
  • Experience of working within a Electrical calibration environment is advantageous
  • Understanding of a recognised Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025 beneficial
  • Self- motivated with the ability to multi-task, organise and work under the pressure of a busy commercial electrical calibration laboratory
  • Excellent attention to detail
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A team player attitude
  • Fluent hungarian and communicative English
