Radiation Safety Officer

Element has an opportunity for a Radiation Safety Officer to join our growing team in Dammam , KSA . This is a great opportunity to develop your professional career within a Global TIC business.

The Radiation Safety Officer will act as the supervisor for the safety of those workers engaged in the radiation specified areas 


The position will be based in Jeddah / Tabuk



  • Ensure the workers are wearing TLD (thermoluminescent dosimeter) badge during the transportation and using of the Nuclear Density Gauge (NDG)
  • Perform and maintain inventory of radioactive materials
  • Perform wipe / leak test of the sources and send samples to the testing facility
  • Ensure the calibration of the survey meter and NDG
  • Collect and submit the TLD badges from all the radiation workers to the testing agency
  • Review records (e.g. personnel exposure records and leak test records) periodically to assure compliance with  rules and license conditions
  • Perform the survey of storage area to ensure the dose rate are within limits
  • Ensure the vehicles used for the transportation equipped with all requirements as per the rules and regulations
  • Provide guidelines to the technician for the safe use of NDG equipment
  • Prepare necessary documents required for the renewal of  Radiation Practise License
  • Prepare the document required for the temporary approval for the use of NDG for the particular project
  • Liaise with the client for the clarification of the radiation safety procedure

Skills / Qualifications

  • Certified by KA-CARE (King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy )
  • Possess relevant Experience in a laboratory environment 
  • KSA national preferred for the position
  • The position will be based in Jeddah / Tabuk
