Procurement Category Manager

Element has an opportunity for a Procurement Category Manager to join our growing team. Due to an internal promotion and transformation we are looking for someone to contribute to the re-shaping of our UK procurement offering. 


In this role you will be responsible for delivering value for money through the design and implementation of effective procurement practices and multi-site operation.



  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans aligned to business needs across indirect and direct categories
  • Develop a network of supplier relationships that deliver value in service, quality and cost
  • Provide and demonstrate high level procurement and category expertise to drive group sourcing
  • Identify, develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships at all levels


Skills / Qualifications

To be successful an individual should have the following: 

  • A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Track record of developing stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • The ability to understand, review and recommend reporting and system operation improvements
  • Excellent knowledge of digital applications within purchasing and finance
  • CIPS qualification is beneficial for this role but is not essential
