Associate Engineer (Geologist)

Element has an opportunity for an Engineer (Geologist with Petrography experience) to join our rapidly expanding team.


As a member of the operations team, you will perform Petrography analysis in accordance to ASTM C295, ASTM C856, BS, BS EN supported with other rock mineralogy standards / guides


This position will be based in Sungei Kadut Loop , Singapore



•Perform Petrography analysis in accordance to ASTM C295, ASTM C856, BS, BS EN, and supported with other rock mineralogy standards/guides
•Perform geology field analysis such as inspection at quarry and sand mining; with full inspection report for authority's acceptance
•Accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-offs of quality control data as acceptable and strongly independent in non-routine situation testing as well as the ability to oversee standard and/or routine technical problem solving activities
•Interact with customers on technical issues and questions and provide input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers
•Responsible in making both formal and informal presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholders
•Assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers within the local laboratory and carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data

•Utilize an assortment of skill, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis and adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusion

Skills / Qualifications

•Possess a minimum Bachelor’s degree in Geology from recognised University
•Have a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in Petrography analysis and rock mineralogy related fields
•Possesses excellent knowledge in rock mineralogy identification; and concrete engineering knowledge will be in advantage and in-depth understanding of testing concepts for other test as well
•Can analyse and compiles testing data from the tests performed
•Possess strong computer skills
