NDT Trainee Technician

Element has a opportunity for a NDT Technician- Level 2 Reporting directly to the Production Manager and working with a highly qualified and accomplished team to deliver an excellent level of testing while always maintaining safety and quality standards.   • Working cooperatively with Level 2 and Level 3 NDT personnel to perform Radiographic and Computed Radiographic Testing, alongside other methods
  • Conducting testing and inspection processes in accordance with written procedures
  • Working alongside qualified team members who will provide training and guidance- full technical training will be provided to national and internationally recognised standards
  • Working with company appointed Level 3 and Technical Management to develop experience and qualification through structured training in designated NDT methods
  • Gain authorisation to Level 2 status in line with the company Written Practice
  • Work independently as a Level 2 Technician
  • Consideration for development to Level 2 in additional methods
  • Assisting with other NDT methods, process checks, and data gathering
  • Additional duties as required by the business

Skills / Qualifications

  • Documented Level 2 qualification in Radiographic and/or Digital Radiographic Testing to EN4179/NAS410
  • Experience in a similar Industrial Radiography role
  • Experience working with castings and weldments
  • Educated to good standard in Maths and English, or a Science related subject
  • IT literate, including Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excels in teamwork, and able to work confidently as an individual
  • Excellent attention to detail, and able to follow instruction
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal, and inter-personal skills
  • Good organisational skills, methodical approach
  • Able to work consistently during high pressure periods, able to manage deadlines
